So my dear family, today I will share my live experience about a common weighbridge weight variation problem. Basically, as a service engineer, I visited my client’s company. The customer said to me, “Please sir, check it. What is the issue with this weighbridge?” Then I replied, “Don’t worry, I will fix it.” After a few minutes, I started my checking.
As an engineer, my first task was to check the weighbridge in 3 positions – the first side, the middle side, and the last/end side of the weighbridge.
Then I found there was a 100 kg difference from end to end. This result was unexpected because just a few days ago I had replaced all the load cells.
I also found another problem. When I put a 5MT test weight, it was showing correctly as 5MT, but after clearing the weighbridge it was showing –250 kg weight.
At first, I didn’t understand what happened 😞. Then I checked the weighbridge platform and saw this 👇 (see image).

The weighbridge platform had dust and heavy dirt stuck inside. I was surprised! So, as soon as possible, I cleaned all the dust from the weighbridge platform and washed it with water 💦.
Finally, the problem was 100% fixed ✅.
Moral of the story: A weighbridge problem does not always mean that the load cells are damaged. In my opinion, whenever you visit a customer site, you must cross-check the platform structure also.
I hope my live working experience helps you. If you have any queries regarding this weighbridge, please contact me through my contact page. Otherwise, if you like this content, please comment below 👇.
